P.E and Sport Premium Funding

What is the P.E and Sport Premium Funding?
The P.E and Sport Premium is annual government funding, provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport, for schools to improve the quality of P.E, sport and physical activity. The intention of this ring-fenced funding is to remove barriers so that all children are able to access high-quality P.E lessons and extra-curricular opportunities.
There are five Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that we use as key areas to drive forward improvement in school P.E and Sport. These are as follows:
-
Increased confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sport
-
Engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity
-
The profile of PE and sport is raised across the school as a tool for whole-school improvement
-
Broader experience of a range of sports and physical activities offered to all pupils
-
Increased participation in competitive sport.
